Executive Chef Sonu Koithara began his career with the Taj Group in 1995 and in his 17 years of a long and happening career, he has worked closely with top chefs around the world. His career is 'well seasoned' with achievements. He holds a Bachelors as well as a Masters Degree in Culinary Arts and Science.

At Umaid Bhawan Palace, Chef Sonu oversees the culinary offerings at its famous Restaurants, Bar, In- Room dining as well as the extensive banqueting facilities at both indoor and outdoor venues.

His key strengths are menu planning and crafting unique dining experiences for each guest. He has cooked for many celebrities and International dignitaries and has also participated in many food festivals both in India and abroad. He has appeared on television channels in many countries and also featured in the Savvy cook book, The Indian Express, The Hindu, Deccan Chronicle, Asian Traveler and many other publications.

Chef Sonu is passionate to delight the gourmands with his inventive approach to global ingredients and regional flavours of Rajasthan. He loves travelling and has incorporated his rich experience of world- cuisines in the menus and recipes at the palace.
